I made an appearance on All Bets Are Off last week and had a great time talking Cavs with the legendary Bruce Drennan.
Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances surrounding my DVR, however, I was unable to secure that footage.
In the wake of losing that video, a friend of mine sent me a recording of my conversation with the great Ken Carman on CBS Radio in Cleveland last night.
That discussion about the retirement of Zydrunas Ilgauskas' jersey, Anthony Bennett's upside, how many games the Cavaliers will ulimately win and Krazyie Bone's life as a Cleveland Sports fan is below.
In case you didn't click on the audio player and listen, the point about Ilgauskas' jersey being retired is a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned. While Z was never the best player in the league at his position during any of his time in Cleveland, like Terrell Brandon and LeBron James each were, he was a two-time All-Star who is the Cavaliers all-time leader in games played, rebounds and blocks.
Like I said last night, if you are going to retire people's jerseys you have to retire the one worn by the guy who grabbed more boards, blocked more shots and played in more games than anyone else in you team's 43-year history.
So here's to Z on all that and thanks to Ken for having me on. Also good to talk some Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. PS - Jarrett Jack and Kyrie Irving looked impressive lined up next to each other last night against the Washington Wizards, we'll be back to talk about that later.
