The Cleveland Cavaliers sent a release out tonight indicating that Kyrie Irving could be out for up to four weeks while recovering from a "hairline/non-displaced fracture of his contused left index finger".
Cavs went to Philly and came back as a walking MASH unit. Awesome.
Losing Irving for that long will certainly be tough for the Cavs. It's not as if he had a suitable backup anyways. Who is projected to start in place for Irving, btw?
the only upsides are that 1) better chance of being in lottery 2) other players get more playing time and can develop a little faster than if KI were healthy.
Waiters at point?
The Cavs should have signed Leandro Barbosa & Ramon Sessions.
Maybe they tried for all I know.
As soon as I read this, I started looking at NBA draft options.
Earliest I ever did that.
