We all love March Madness. The drama. The underdogs. The brackets. And of course, the prospects. As I discussed in my last piece the Cavs will have some at-bats next year to try to add to their young core.
I'll certainly be keeping an eye on Bradley Beal, Harrison Barnes, and Thomas Robinson to see just what the Cavs would be getting if we'd be so lucky to fall in range. But there are a host of other young prospects that will be showcasing themselves and trying to help their teams survive and advance.
If any of the above mentioned players, just three in a group of about 7 or 8 players, names were to be called for the Cavs on draft night it would certainly feel like a home run. The fact of the matter is wins, losses, and ping pong balls will decide that and we'll have plenty of time to analyze it all to death after the lottery. What the Cavs will definitely have a chance to do is try to hit some singles and doubles with three picks in the late 1st to early 2nd range.
Here are a list of players who currently have draft grades in the late 1st to early 2nd, according to ESPN's top 100, who'll be suiting up today. They're definitely worth keeping an eye on. A rough estimate would say a 2nd rd pick has a 10% chance of becoming a "rotation player." Chances surely go up when you have three chances at it.

Now I know that there's people I'm leaving out. There's new players that will emerge from off the rader. These players' themselves will see their stock rise and fall in the coming months but there's also a chance that one of these players can be vying for a spot in the Cavs future.
