Friday Links: All About Izzo

Written by Brendan Bowers on .

So Tom Izzo was in the Cleveland last night, and while it seems to have gone well from the Cavs prospective, he did head back without committing:  Tom Izzo visits with Cleveland Cavaliers but leaves town without making a decision - PD, Brian Windhorst

Meanwhile, Spartan Fans gathered for a rally back at MSU to show Izzo how much they care...Izzo was quoted as saying his decision one way or another would be forthcoming:  Tom Izzo on Cavs Situation: 'It's not going to be forever' - Detroit Free Press, Shannon Shelton

And on that decision, how many people could say honestly that they'd not take a job that doubles their salary, guaranteed, for five more years?  Maybe one factor he's 'thinking' about:  Izzo to Cleveland doesn't have to be just about LeBron James - WFNY, Andrew

This morning then, per Andy Katz, Izzo is apparently closer to saying yes to the Cavaliers than previously thought...according to a source of his:  Source: Tom Izzo Closer to Taking Cavs job - ESPN, Andy Katz

So while we're speaking of sources, Izzo, and the Cavaliers, I suggest you take a look, at this look, at the conflicting reports from sources on Izzo earlier this week:  On Conflicting Reports regarding Tom Izzo and the Cavaliers - Cleveland Frowns, Pete

But wherever the information is coming from, lets just say its enough to have our friends in Sparty-land a tad nervous this morning. Worrying only shortens our lives - Sparty MSU

Real question here though, does LBJ like Izzo?  Count Phillip as a guy who thinks LeBron  would have to for it to get this far:  Jackson Not Convinced Cavs aren't consulting LeBron on coaching search - AOL Fanhouse, Chris Tomasson

In the end will it happen?  It may just come down to timing: For both Izzo and Cavs, its all about timing - Curse of Cleveland, Kirk

And lastly....
